I don't live in NY anymore so I don't have recommendations - but your RE might.
At my first appointment, my RE gave me a folder and inside were recommendations for therapists, acupuncture, etc. They might be able to help you find someone who specializes in infertility.

I know LI-IVF has 2 that recommend that they want you to meet one of them before starting IVF. I had to meet one but honestly I wouldn't recommend her- she annoyed me in the time that we met w/ her- my DH and I said never again.  I've heard good things about the other one though.
Maybe someone knows their names? Otherwise I can put a call in to my nurse if you'd like. Just let me know.

My RE's office required DH and I see a therapist for one session before we started with IF treatment. I liked the lady we saw- her name was Harriet Rovner-Ferguson. I cant get the phone number right now because superpages.com is down. But I know she's listed. I believe she's in Smithtown.

I'm 99.999% sure this is the one that I DIDN't see!! She's the one I'd recommend. The dr. I was was on the road heading up to the SB office off of 347 if you're heading west.... but I forget the town. Sorry, wish I could be more help.

I saw her, too as part of our pre-IVF screening. I forgot her name. She was nice enough. I can't really judge from a 1-hour session, but she made us feel comfortable.

This might be the one that we saw come to think of it. I think she was on Middle Country Road. If you were heading off 347 heading west, and forked to the right on 347, she was on the left in an office complex in I believe a long brown one story building.
