anyone else not going to have a nursery right away?
im kinda disappointed that i wont get to "prepare" and set up the nursery before the baby comes. we live in a small one bedroom apt. in my parents house and will not be able to move until about a month after the baby is here... granted i know the baby will be in a bassinet for the most part but i like to plan and have everything set. I wont even be able to use a changing table due to lack of space. i feel like things are going to be a disaster the first month...
anyone else in the same boat or been there done that? please tell me its all my hormones?

we are going to have a nursery persay....but it will not be done all baby like... We intend to buy a house within the next year or 2 (tops), so we're leaving the wall decor pretty much untouched (it's currently a sports room/office)...until we move...

DH and I also live in a one bedroom (so do many girls on here so u are not alone). With the way the economy is right now, we are staying put.  will just have a small set up in our room for the time being. You'll make it work....I promise u

thanks i know we'll make it work and its def. for the better becuase we are saving so much by being here!
We live in a 1 bedroom as well, and we are gonna have a little space in our room dedicated as a mini nursery, its the best we can do right now. So dont feel bad hun. You do what you can.

We live in a one bdrm and actually don't plan on moving until the baby is around 1 yr, maybe longer depending on how much we have saved. We're putting the crib in our bdrm and we actually have a very large living room so we have the changing table and a bookcase and the glider in the back half of the living room. Sure it wil be tight, but we'll make it.
For only a month you'll be more than fine. The baby won't take up any space really at that point.

we live in a one bedroom as well. we're getting a cosleeper for our bedroom and her dresser/changing table is going in the hallway. the glider will be in our living room. i'm a little sad about not having a nursery as well, but i'm hoping that when we move (our lease is up when she'll be about 6 months old) we'll be able to get something i can spruce up for her. in the meantime i'm just getting ideas and organizing what i have.

My DD has her own room but we figured why give up our guest room(which we will really need since all of our family is out of town) until the child it older. So even though I have a changing table set up in DD room still, all the baby's stuff is set up in my room for now. It won't be a disaster- we did everything in our room for the first 5 months DD was born. I don't think we used her nursery except to store her clothes.

thanks for all the replies ladies... i think my anxieties come from the fact that our bedroom is tiny as well as the rest of our apt. and DH and i can barely fit our stuff in the room forget about everything that comes with the baby. but god willing we will only really be here a month.. 2 at the most.
