Is this sciatic pain?
I have such horrible lower back pain the past few days. It's located in one spot - my very lower back, to the right, almost my upper butt  It feels like something is pinched and it hurts when I walk or move too quickly. Is this sciatic pain?
Also, is there anything I can do to help alleviate some of the pain?

I have been having the exact same pain, for about 3 days now. It's not unbearable yet, and I haven't called the dr...I'm interested in the replies to this post, though!

Sounds like sciatica pain to me. With DD mine would shoot down my leg. I found keeping my leg elevated helped a little. Other than that there wasn't much relief. Someone had suggested accupuncture but I never tried it.

From my experience, no.
I have had lower back pain the entire pregnancy, and within the last week and a half, the sciatica kicked in. It feels like an electric shock that goes down my entire leg. It is SO not pleasant.
Maybe what you are feeling is just pelvic pressure and hip pain.

Right - my mom has had sciatica issues her whole life...it's a pain that shoots down your leg...it can start at your back - but travels...and STINKS..

Randi is right.... that pain is HORRIBLE.... goes right down your leg, and leaves you breathless....
You'll def know what it is when it happens. I had it through my entire PG, and still have sciatica issues at times.... 1 yr PP!
