Heart beat question...
I had an almost 38 week OB appointment tonight and the Dr. had the doppler on my stomache for all of 30 seconds and within that time gave me numerous readings..140 then 136 then 140 and the 120 something!
She said that was "good" and what they like to see... that did not seem good to me, but what do I know.
Anyone else's baby's heart do that?

After my sonograms at LIJ, they put my baby on a heart monitor. (There's no heart problems, but they check it because of the baby's size.) So I can tell you, for sure, that the heart rate does jump around a lot. Depending on the change in movement, I've seen the heart rate jump something like 30 beats/min. The doctors always say that it's fine.

Thanks! that makes me feel better...lol...I know the dr said it was good, but for some reason I want to hear it from other people

I don't blame you. I was stressing the first time I saw that as well, but now I know that it's normal.
