first appt?
I just tested last week and found out I am pregnant. I called the doctor and am going Thursday for my first appt. My DH is out of town on business, is it weird that I am going alone?
I don't want to postone the appointment.
What should I expect?

My 1st dr appt is when I am 8 weeks.
No fair!

Congratulations! At this first appointment they will do blood work, urine and go over your health and family history. You'll probably get a prescription for prenatal vitamins. I went to my first office visit alone and I just met with the office's nurse practioner.

Congrats! 
I went to my first early appt alone then DH came when I had to go back at 8 weeks. They asked us both lots of health/history questions and did an internal sonogram. Then my mom came to my next appt. DH will come to my 20 week. He cannot make all appt. but I'm only in for 15 minutes tops during the regular visits.
You may not get an internal sono so early. They did one on me because I bled one day after conception.
