Another Crazy MIL
We are currently 12w 5d and my MIL is asking pretty much every other day "Sooooo when are you going to spread the good news?!" I think I am going to hit her!

Re: Another Crazy MIL
If you are waiting for a specific time in your pg or event for family to be together then, just let her know so she can stop asking.
We put my 11 week sono pic on our Christmas card to spread the news to those outside verbal range.

Re: Another Crazy MIL
I know that she's excited but it's not like our immediate families don't know: parents, bros/sis, etc. It's just not something that I want to just bring up like, "hey how are ya we're having a baby!" I don't care if DH wants to tell his family in whatever way he chooses, I just don't think that we need to make phone calls to all the aunts and uncles! ...KWIM?
I had a m/c at 8 weeks so I just feel like it is too soon but if DH wants to tell people I am totally okay with it...
I guess I don't mind telling people I just don't know how to bring it up!

sorry for your loss.. and I can totally understand your hesitation to telling others and wanting to wait until you feel comfortable... Hopefully your mil will realize this and stop hounding you. Best of Luck and many well wishes!!!

Re: Another Crazy MIL
I too am sorry for your loss and wish you a healthy pregancy. That for sure is a totally valid reason to keep the spread of the news at a slower pace. I'm sure if you or DH explain that to MIL, she will totally understand and respect your choice and ease up on the pressure.
