Re: Dying to know
i know how badly you want to know...but there's a chance that your u/s tech will NOT guess. Ours flat out refused...and i asked him 3 times... I promised that we just wanted to know for US and would not be sharing the info, but it didn't matter...
he would not even guess until 20 weeks and told us that 3 times.

a few of the sono techs at my job are like this.. theres a couple who claim they are soo good that they can tell at 12 weeks.. but even then I would just take it as guess and not really start registering until 20 weeks for specific gender.

I hope they're able to at least give you a guess. I know it would be nice just to have an idea of what direction you may be going in. I had an u/s at 14 weeks and they took a guess of for me. But they said it's not 100% till the level II which I have on Tuesday. We'll see if they were right.

Re: Dying to know
Im going on the 12th, and I plan on asking. If they refuse then I guess I will have to wait, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

See I would love a guess - I wouldn't go out and go crazy with blue or pink! I just like to know these things! Plz update on Tuesday!!! I'm dying to see if early guesses were accurate!! GL!

Re: Dying to know
just so you know, MANY MANY times, boy parts and girl parts look EXACTLY the same until 16 or 17 weeks - so even if they guess they could be very wrong!!

I know! Even if they have no idea I still think it would be cool for them to take a guess! I wouldn't shout "It's a boy/girl!" from the rafters or anything! I just think it would be fun and exciting! I'm sure it will be nearly impossible but it's fun to dream!

Same with me. But he surprised the heck out of me at our level 2 yesterday and told the tech that we wanted to know!

I'm REALLY surprised my DH doesn't feel this way He is old fashioned in that sort of way but we agreed that when the time comes (not currently pregnant but soon to TTC) we will find out asap.
