Pregnant moms with baby #2, or 3 or 4..?

When did you start taking out the new babys stuff? Like the swing, bounce seat, cosleeper.. etc.

Im due next month and want to start taking things out now and getting them put together.. (feels like I just put them away). Dh wants to wait.. b/c hes afraid DD will want to play with them. My opinion is I would like to deal with this now, with no baby in it.. then to wait with baby in it.. and DD possible injuring new baby b/c she wants to explore these items. KWIM?

You and I are on the same wavelength! I've been thinking about the same thing.

When should I get the high chair out? The baby won't need it until at least 4 months... when should I get the bouncy seat out and clean it, etc?

I'm not so much worried about DS exploring and playing with these items (although now that you mention it, I can see him playing with them and breaking them) as I am about waiting too long to get them out and then finding out they don't work anymore for some reason and then realizing I need to buy new stuff!

I don't want to start the clutter too soon either...

i am 30 weeks and have no desire..... i guess i will do it at like 34 weeks.....

The only thing I took out was the bassinet, boppy pillow and bouncy right away. I waited about 2 or 3 months for the swing but I didn't have the papsan style swing so maybe sooner if you have a newer model or that style.

This is something good for me to think about. I think the bassinet and bouncy will be things that come out before the baby is born. Maybe to put "her" baby in them so she knows these things are not for her, but the baby.

I also don't want her thinking she can push the baby's swing like we push her at the park
