Happiest Baby on the Block

Has anyone else read it?

It has been recommended to me time and time again - I am half way through it (baby is due 2/1) and I am ready! I know the 5 s's to calming my baby. If you haven't read it, GET IT!!! It will make your life easier.

(And make your DH read it too!).

Re: Happiest Baby on the Block

I just started it, but DH finished it already... He said it was great. He was reading it on the train and another guy came up to him and said, "that's the best book ever!".

We have the DVD also which we will watch once I finally finish the book. I gotta get on that!

Re: Happiest Baby on the Block

I know its really early, but I just ordered the DVD yesterday! I was getting Baby Bargains online and to qualify for free shipping I had to spend over $25, so I read reviews on some books and decided to get this too! I also want to buy the CD with the calming music on it. whatever makes it easier when this little one is here works for me!

I have it but haven't started it yet! I just finished Dr Sears Vaccine book (getting ready for my pediatric interviews) and The Breastfeeding Book! Now onto this book! I can't wait to read it! I've heard great things!

This is a great book!!! The DVD is very helpful too - esp b.c it actually shows him doing the 5 steps - which is very helpful.

I watched the DVD AFTER the baby was born. I wish I would have watched it before - It was a godsend!

Re: Happiest Baby on the Block

From someone who is already a mom...this is a great book. It was a big help when my DD had colic. She was miserable but some of the techniques and insights really did help.

Re: Happiest Baby on the Block

That book was my bible with my DS. I wish I had bought it earlier though, we had already been through a few rough weeks by the time I got it.

Re: Happiest Baby on the Block

For me it was a Godsend!! My DD cried ALOT when she was an infant. I only found this book when she was a month or so old. I read it then, and the 5 Ss definately worked!!! I will be getting the DVD this time around to refresh myself.
