WARNING: Lotions and stretch mark oils
So, my BFF just gave birth and swore by the Palmer's stretch mark oil to avoid stretch marks.
I went out last night and bought a bottle and SLATHERED myself in it head to toe. I woke up this morning with a red rash head to toe  I went to see my brother (doctor) and he said it is most definitely an allergic reaction. Ugghhh...
So warning to all, test that stuff before you go slathering!!

ack  That stinks!! Sorry!!
I did palmers last pregnancy.. still ended up with stretch marks. A coworker told me she used reg. body oil.. no clue if she got stretch marks or not tho.

awww, I personally tried the palmers and used it religiously for the first 6 months and I still am covered in stretch marks. I started getting stretch marks at 3 months. Honestly, I think its a wives tale based off my experience

Ugh! So sorry Lizzy!
It was a waste of $$ for me too. I was using it alot, and still have stretch marks.

oh no you poor thing! I hope the rash clears up quickly.
I don't think anything really helps to prevent stretch marks. I've been greasing up 2x a day since I found out I was preggo, and last week, I got my first stretch mark, it is red and fugly

I've been using Palmer's religiously....and still got a few stretch marks....I don't think anything really works

oh no!! thats so true though b/c everyone probably just slops it on not even thinking that you can be allergic.

i used palmer's everyday, in the AM and before bed and didnt get one stretch mark
i do believe either you get them or you dont and has little to do with any lotion or oil JMO

OMG lizzy hope your rash goes away soon. I have been using the lotion brand of palmers and so far nothing has happen yet. Thanks for the info

I broke out from Palmer's Tummy Butter that a friend recommended whole-heartedly
Guess it shows what works for some, might not work for others.
