My cousin almost outed me...funny story
We were planning on telling my immediate family on Christmas Day before the rest of the family got there. But one of my sisters was running really late so we had to wait until everyone left at the end of the night (the day was torture!).
Everyone was drinking pomegranate martini's and they would totally know something was up if I wasn't drinking them. So, I scouted the kitchen until no one was looking and I poured myself a martini with just pomegranate juice and sprite. I thought I was so slick. Then, during dinner, my cousin says "Is there alcohol in that". I said of course! She said, "are you sure? are you pregnant, there's something different with your face." I tried to convince her and she leaned over and took a sip!! She said "there's nothing in there." My face must have been bright red and I stayed with my story but she wasn't convinced. Ha! I almost lost it, but I hadn't even told my parents yet.

 That is funny!
We told my in-laws on Christmas Eve and whenever we see them the first thing they always ask is "are you drinking" (cause I'm usually on call), I have been BRAGGING for the last 2 months how I had the holiday's OFF and can enjoy them. The first thing my BIL did when I walked in was hand me a glass of wine. I sipped it so slowly (4 hours) until we were able to tell them. Oh course as soon as we told them my BIL was like.....I thought you were refilling your glass!

I thought it was a great idea until she sipped it! After that, I started carrying around a wine glass and DH would take sips when no one was looking.

I hate when people do that!! I have a family member that likes to yell out things, you don't want everyone to know. Well, did you wind up telling everyone or are you waiting?
