DH vent!!!
So its snowing like crazy right now. And DH and I were suppose to go to AC. So he is contemplating if we should still go. Mind you he is not getting out of work until 4:30, and its a Friday night. I told him i think its a bad idea, b/c the roads are going to turn to ice, and hes like we'll see if it melts away i still want to go. Please pray it snows harder!!!!

where will you be coming from? That is KEY.
South Jersey is only have rain...but the more northern you go - the worse it gets.

Just tell your DH you don't want to go and thats it. The storm is supposed to get worse around rush hour, and even if there is some melt the temps are supposed to be in the 20's tonight so everything will freeze. Also NJ is supposed to get it worse than LI.

okay, then direct DH to read this.
I used to live on Long Island and went to AC a few times. There are only a few ways to get into Jersey and down there - and almost all of them involve SOME portion of northern NJ (the only one that DOESN'T is the verazanno - but that's still a little north)... The reason i say that is because northern NJ is expecting 6-8 inches. So you will have to get out of the island - and portions of that are going to be bad & then you'll be entering NJ and portions of here are going to be horrible....but as you get farther south - it will clear up (meaning rain only).
the main issue is that whatever happens where it does rain ONLY - that rain will likely freeze tonight or tomorrow - so getting back may be more trouble than getting there to begin with.
No matter which way you slice it - it's a risk....
we live in northern NJ and have tickets to the Nets/Mavericks game tonight at the Meadowlands (without traffic a 30 minute ride) and we're considering NOT going - because of the weather.
