Itchy numb burning thigh

Hi ladies, I am hoping someone can help me.. I have been wakened from sleeping for 3 nights now.. My left thigh started out itchy like a rash (no redness or bumps at all) then tonight I feel a numbness in it from my knee to my upper thigh and it gets realy really hot? I just started my 2nd trimester.. Assoon as i get up from sleeping on my back its gone.. I googled sciatica but that would be pain and I have no pain its just itchy hot and numbness.. only on my left outer upper thigh?? Anyone else get this? Its scary.. TIA

I would call the doctor and have him take a look at it. I don't want to be an alarmist, but there is a risk of blood clots when pregnant and sometimes people get them in their legs. One of the symptoms is redness, so it is good that you don't have that. But I really think you should have the doctor take a look at it. Sorry if I scared you, I am not a doctor and I really don't know what it is, but I would always rather be safe than sorry. Good luck and let us know.

ETA: Sorry, I just read that it is gone when you stop sleeping on your back. (I have been up practically all night myself and cant see straight). I have heard that you are not supposed to sleep on your back when pregnant, the baby hits a nerve or something. Maybe that is the problem. I would still let the doctor know.

i ad this when i was pregnant with my ds..it was terrible, i never did find out what it was caused by, but i used ice packs to calm it down, cause it itched THAT bad, i would literally scratch myself to almost bleed!!

Good luck, i think if you talk to your doctor, theres new stuff they can do to help you!!

i had something similar later in my pregnancy. it was from dd sitting on a nerve.

Thank you so much for the responses.. I am on blood thinners so I hope its not a clot.. I am going to the dr tomorrow I am going to bring it up.. Its so weird its sooooo itchy but there is nothing on my skin no redness no bumps no rash... Then I lay down and then hotness starts with numbness..
