Kind of TMI

My cousin told me to rub olive oil down below each day to reduce the chances of having to be cut during delivery. Has anyone been doing this? I have been, but not religiously. She swears by it. She had 2 kids naturally and didn't need to be cut. Thoughts?

i've heard of doing that, but using olive oil as lube (basically) for perenial massage - and it only says to do that from about 34/36 weeks on. i've never heard of olive oil alone doing it...
