When you announced you were preggo...
I've recently come out at work and it surprised me like mad how many people were already talking about me and suspecting it before I announced it! For one thing, they probably expected it anyway since we've been married a year...and according to a few friends I'm 'tiny' so any bit of weight (especially in my BOOBS yikes!) is noticeable.
I was so shocked when even the male teachers in my school were talking! I was like, guys, noticing?
oh right...the boobs were bigger.
So, was your announcement a surprise or were you suspected?

Whats funny is even though we told everyone RIGHT AWAY most still suspected something. I was so bloated and being tiny any weight showed.

No one suspected anything! We've been married 4 years, so I think we were past the "when is it going to happen" stage.  And I actually lost about 5 lbs during the first tri, and still don't have a noticable baby bump. The only thing that changed were my horrible roots and broken out skin!

I've only told my boss so far but I was talking to a co-worker about how I hate the closet space in my house and how I need to expand them...and she eyeballed me and said "Why...is there an imminent need for more space?" I was like...um...

Well, I have only told my sister (because we always have a glass...or 2 ...of wine together at the weekends), my regular doc who is also a good friend, and my inlaws as we live abroad and we saw them at Thanksgiving so we told them then. They were all really surprised. In fact, my sister took a full 10 seconds to speak after I told her!
We're telling my parents and family on Christmas Day (when I'll be 10 weeks) and I hope they're surprised! I can't wait to tell everyone!!

i made it to 11 weeks before i announced and was totally convinced that everyone suspected - no one did! it was just me and my crazy bloated self imagining things hooray for coming out!

my dad told me that he thought i was - simply because we came out to Long Island on Saturday - even though we were also coming out on Thursday for Thanksgiving...so he thought something was up... I fully believe him!
I announced at work at 12 weeks and out of everyone I work with - one person, a new guy (who i never, ever, ever speak to) told me, 'some of us had guessed'. I truly have no idea how he could've - i don't think i've spoken to him since his first day...but whatever!
Everyone else was SHOCKED and beyond happy! The sound of joy that my best friends' dad made will stick with me FOREVER...it was such a pure moment of happy...OMG!

So far the people I have told have been completely surprised. DH and I have only been married a little over 2 months... I think everyone is happy for us.

I told work at 13 weeks (I took vacation when I was 12 weeks pregnant) and everyone said they knew but were waiting for me to tell them in my own time. I always had such a flat stomach, so the telltale bump (even though it wasn't much) tipped them all off.

Apparently about 75% of the people at work knew already, including the custodians who i hardly ever see. I thought I was saying this big, amazing revelation and most people were like "Pshhh, we know that.  "

All my friends at school were surprised. i am a bit heavy for starters, so i don't think anyone noticed!
some people thought maybe because i wasn't drinking at happy hour or other things like that, and i always have a drink!
