38+ week appt
UGH!!!!
No change, still 1cm dilated and 50% effaced...The Dr saw that I was visibly upset, and said I shouldn't be, I can go at any time, BUT if I don't, they're looking at inducing me on the 27th...UGH I'm still keeping hope alive that I'm going to go early..Going for my fifth walk with the dog now

I'm sorry, I'm really anxious to go too (especially since yesterday they measured the baby at 8lbs 1 oz!). My Dr. won't even do internals until 40 weeks because you can be dilated for so long without going into labor, they don't want to get your hopes up.
Are you getting any contractions or anything?

I'm getting a lot of contrations on and off, nothing in a pattern, and honestly, ALL the women in my family went very spontaneously, my mom was told she had two more weeks, and literally went that night...so I know I can go at any time, and I still have this gut feeling that I'm going to go early, I just wish I had more hope to hold on to...
Then again my instinct was right that we're having a girl when they told us it was a boy..so my instinct has worked well before even when I had nothing else to base it on...

The weirdest thing is, is my grandmother keeps saying I'm going to go on the 17th, yesterday my closest friend out of nowhere says I think you're going go on the 17th and then today an old colleauge of mine was like I thought your due date was the 17th..so who knows, that could be a sign of something...

Oh that would be really wild! Now I'm really curious to see when you are going to go!
The 12th has been in my head for a long time, but here we are and I'm not really feeling anything today, so I'm not holding my breath!

I felt the same way at 38 weeks..( I had my section scheduled at 39 weeks.)
But as soon as your dc is born...you will miss your belly and feeling the kicks..and even the pressure..LOL..

I'm eating spicy food like nobody's business..Castor Oil I'm not doing, my Dr. said NO WAY and ther are confliciting reports that it really does more damage than anything....

You never know when you will go. I have chatted to lots of ladies who have gone pretty early with NO signs at all it was gonna come. My friend from work actually saw her doctor with a similar report as you, and ended up going that night. She said that she was having contractions but they didn't seem as painful as everyone says so she thought nothing of it until she was actually there in L&D!

I'm right there with you. I didn't have any dilation or effacement at my last appointment though . I'm so ready to meet this baby. I'm sooo uncomfortable. If I don't have this baby by my due date (the 25th) my doctor is going to induce me on the 28th. LABOR VIBES!!!

keep your head up!! Im trying to look at it as time left between dh and i before being up all nite, and not being able go anywhere much for awhile lol
ive been making him take me out to eat alot lol

I did nothing at all and then boom at exactly 40 weeks and a day or two my water broke and I had baby..i was so upset after each appt weekly bc nothing was happening at all...my labor sucked but she came out via a C section and was very healthy. Hang in there..the last two weeks were hell for me with the pain and discomfort but it went fast...
