I plan to use an ottoman for our coffee table. We're looking at a leather one from crate and barrel. It's this one here

We're just about to furnish our basement, after redoing everything. I plan on doing a wood trunk as a coffee table.

We just got one - we haven't really used it yet, but it looks really nice! We bought ours from our furniture dealer in North Carolina for $300 - an identical one was in Crate and Barrel for $1000! I second overstock.com - they have some nice ones on there.

that is where we got ours, it was under 300.00 and we get tons of compliments on it
