Oh Kim...
Poor little Cooper... He's lucky to have such great parents. I hope these new meds will help him - along with his bath...

Have you ever read the Epi-Soothe instructions? It says to lather and leave it on for about 10 minutes I think? I guess there are oils in the shampoo that need to absorb into his skin to do the job.
I never read the instructions till yesterday.
By the way, I got the Comfy Cone today - 2 days after the order. It's awesome.
Yeah, we've been using Epi-Sooth for years... but how in the world are you supposed to keep a dog still with wet cold shampoo all over them for 10 mins!!
I'm going to show DH the cone when he gets home from work. It could be the best thing for Cooper or the worst. He's very unpredictable!! LOL

Thanks Jenn... we always think the people in the vet think we're crazy bc we're in there all the time... we always felt so incompitent. But when Aaron was there, our vet told us how amazing we are with Cooper and that most people wouldn't be putting in the effort that we do. It was very nice to hear coming from him

I know, exactly. I did get some good advice from some lab friends though - they smear peanut butter on the walls of the tub, and while the dogs set out to lapping it up, they wash them.
I know what you mean about the possibility of him hating it. We took a chance too, and it was pricey for us because we got the large size. I have to tell you though - it's great. He's a little sad when it first goes on but we finally got a full night's sleep last night and his neck looks great.
We have to use it again in six months, so I'm glad we got it now and we're finding out what works. Less to worry about later!
