nursery walls need advice

Thr room we will be using as the nursery is a beautiful blue right now. We are not finding out the sex of our baby. We registered for a girl and boy bedding. Both beddings have Chocolate brown in them. Do you think it would look funny if we add a chair rail and paint the bottom half chocolate brown leave the top half blue and then if we end up having a girl just changing the top to pink?

The furniture set we picked is Espresso color do you think its to dark to be against brown? Thanks for your advice.

I think you are better off leaving the room blue-- maybe put the chair rail in, but leave the room blue.

You can do a cute girl's room with blue walls-- it doesn't have to be pink.

JMO, but I personally do not care for dark chocolate brown on walls, especially in a nursery. I would leave it blue. You could always change it to pink or add pink accents.

Thanks ladies. I think i'll keep the blue like you all suggested and maybe put the chair rail or wainscoting.

you can do wainscotting in white-- so the room doesn't feel SO blue if it's a girl. But, I think you can totally keep the blue, regardless of gender.
