any hair dressers??

ok... so i've been cheaping out a little bit on my hair cuts i've just been going to a place in the mall that does a cut and blow dry for about $30. they've been doing a good job so far, so i've just been doign walk-ins and not going to anybody specific. well i hvae super thick hair and the last time i went i mentioned how it can get annoying sometimes. so the girl says " oh, i can thin it out for you".. so i said "great!"
well... that was about a month or so ago, and now i guess the hairs she thinned out are starting to grow back in... so now at my part, i have little fly aways/stick-ups anything i can do to help this besides a lot of hair spray or a fly away cream??
