how do you find a reputable nail salon?
I had been going to one in my town thinking they were fine, but then I got an infection in my big toe and it lasted about 2 weeks. It was pretty painful too.

hmm... thats a tough one. i guess there could POSSIBLY be some reviews of different places online... but its not like a nail salon is like a resturant so i'm not sure how many people actually take the time to review a nail place, KWIM?
my old nail place i had been going to for Y E A R S - as in since i was about 15 years old. when we moved to bay shore about 6 months ago i just researched different places and picked one. i took note of the kind of paint job they did and whether or not they used clean tools etc...

There are so many nail salons that I don't know if you'd be able to find reviews online.
I would go by a friend's rec or just try a different one every week to see for yourself if they use clean tools, etc.
