I cant afford anything but Chanel makeup.
I do invest thousands of dollars per year in it though, and i buy it at nordstrom in garden city.

To answer my own question, I shop at Saks in NYC, but I was wondering if anyone had good experiences elsewhere

I bought my SIL a Chanel wallet to go with her Chanel purse at Hirshleifer’s in the Americana in Manhasset. I had a good experience there.

Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich, CT. My SA ships the bags from CT to my home and instead of paying tax, I just pay the $15 shipping fee. It is great.
