Re: Proactiv or Murad?

Proactive worked great on my skin. But after long term use my skin got so dry. I have never tried Murad before. After coming off the pill my skin broke out badly and I started using a Perricone facial wash, skin clear, that I love. My skin is so much better and it doesnt dry me out.

Re: Proactiv or Murad?

i've tried EVERYTHING you can think of b/c i've always had bad skin... more so when i was in HS, but i still get crazy break-outs now and then

proactiv is the only thing that has worked for me... i've tried murad before trying proactive & its just not the same!!

it is true that proactiv can dry out your skin... thats why you have to moisturize your skin daily!!

most of my facial procuts are proactiv

Proactiv

I was on Proactive but after long time use, it stopped working so I had to try to find something new. I have tried about 5 other systems, including Murad, and they didn't help at all. OY!

Re: Proactiv or Murad?

I love proactiv but use it every other day or I skip 2 days .. just use moisturizer afterwards if you feel your skin start to dry out.

Re: Proactiv or Murad?

I used both, and I hated them both.... they did nothing for my skin! I've ALWAYS had a problem with my skin, and at the age of *almost* 33... I thought I would be done with this portion of my life Chat Icon

One thing that I use that I love is this:

Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser by Biore

It's one of the only things that has EVER worked for my skin!

Re: Proactiv or Murad?

I used proactiv, which really did work, but like other posters said, really dried out my skin. Right now, I'm just using cetaphil and purpose moisturizer since they are both great for sensitive skin and it's been working well.

PROACTIV I tried both and Proactive was the best. Used it for over 2 years ever dried my skin.In the morning I would wash my face with the cleanser and follow with the toner and my regular everyday SPF moisturizer. At night I used cleanser>toner>lotion. I never used the repairing lotion during the day b/c it dries out your skin and makes it more sensitive. After using the Proactive for 6 months or so and after my skin started looking better I stopped using the toner too, so used just cleanser and lotion .
