Recommend your harness

We bought a harness for Tiny this past weekend but it still chokes him when he walks. He tends to pull you down the street.

I need to find a harness that doesnt go around his neck....but is secure where I wont have to worry about him getting it off.

Anyone have one they recommend?

Tiny is a Chihuahua - He is around 12 pounds.

Scott

Re: Recommend your harness

We recently bought ths for Lilly when she outgrew her booseter seat in the car. She's about 11.5 pounds and it fits her so nicely. It can be used for the car or for walking. It's nice because it has padding on the chest, so that if she pulls, it won't put too much pressure where the harness rests.

We got her an extra-small and it fits her perfectly.

Rudy has a harness it's the only way I can walk him. Chat Icon

His 2 front legs go through it and it latches over his back. It really is around his chest and back. I got it at pet smart.

Obviously Rudy and Tiny are different in size Chat Icon

Re: Recommend your harness

i recommend either gentle leader front clip harnass (helps with the pulling) or a puppia harnass, it's soft but has a back clip, which is not helpful with pulling, yet won't choke Tiny's fragile neck.

Our Shith Tuz's wear Sylvan & Son harnesses. You can get them at the Pet Store (can't remember the name) on Roslyn Road, in Rosyln Heights or you can buy them direct at sylvan & son.

Re: Recommend your harness

The Puppia was black, but it went over $10 so I figured I would look for a new one instead. This one was used.
