Similar brands to Carhartts
Hey All,
DH desperately needs new pants for Christmas and loves Carhartts, but I'm not spending $50 on pants that he will destroy. Does Walmart/Kmart/Target make a similar durable brand like Carhartts? Thanks

Dh wears the Smith brand jeans for work, along with carharts..they are in models like 2 for 25..he abuses them and they last a long time..hth
eta..forgot if its models or sports authority we get them from sorry

Maybe Timberland?? I think "Dickies" is another brand like that.

Yea, Dickies is also like $50 a pair though. There has to be a cheaper brand out there.

Dickies is another brand. You can try going online to cabelas.com too. You are getting a good pair of pants for 50 when you buy carhartts though. So it isn't a waste.

Yea, but my DH needs like 4 pairs. Really, $200 isn't in our budget right now (along with new boots which are $100, etc.)

I haven't found any that last longer than the Carhartts. DH has tried many pairs & now only opts for Carhartts for the very reason that they last longer than most other pants.
He's on a contruction site & tends to be very hard on clothes. If that's not an issue, than maybe try the Dickies.
eta. My mom usually replenishes his work pants for Christmas. She goes to Sears & Work & Gear during the sales.

It's Modells.
You can get these jeans at any modells:
Smiths jeans:
The jeans are 2 for $25 orrrrrr Flannel lined jeans are 2 for $35.
Freeport Modells carries Dickies
