My dog ate walnuts!
Hi all!
I read somewhere that walnuts can be very toxic for dogs.
My dog just ate a piece of pumpkin bread (he stole it of course that had walnuts in it. Very few, and I'm wondering if this is something that I should be concerned about.
Thanks for any input!

Do you have a vet that you could call? I haven't heard about walnuts being toxic to them, but better to ask a vet and know for sure

Here is a link showing walnuts ARE toxic to dogs!!!
Call your vet!
Macadamia Nuts and Walnuts:
Contains an unknown toxin which can
affect digestive and nervous systems and muscle. Can cause seizures.

He ended up being fine. I watched him closely for any symptoms, and he was completely normal. Maybe he got a piece without any nuts in it. I'm definitely going to be more careful with that in the future, since he tends to be a food thief..lol.
