Embarrassed

Today I had my 16 week appointment. Everything is good which made me very happy. However, at the end of the appointment I asked my doctor a question about doing pilates because a few days ago I did my pilates tape and I had a pain in my lower abdomen.(this usually doesn't happen).I wanted to know if I should continue with the exercise. He responds by saying I have nothing to worry and that I don't want to be a "headcase". I know he was kidding, but I thought that was kind of insensitive. I did call the office a month ago because I was having cramps and was a little worried. I wonder if I'm on some kind of difficult patient list or something. I know I'm neurotic, but please tell me I'm not the only one who worries over little things.

I worry over every little ache and pain.

I can't believe your doctor said that!! I've been very crampy, etc. this PG and asked a bunch of questions. Don't worry!! Totally normal, especially with the first pregnancy!

Don't be embarassed - I'm sure the Dr. was just teasing you and trying to put you at ease about doing your normal every day stuff .

No reason to be embarrassed! I ask questions at every appointment, have called numerous times, and have already been to L&D twice because of cramping.

No your not neurotic. We arent programmed to know what being pregnant is going to bring or know what to expect. I freak out over every little twinge. I know its because this is my first but they should be understanding of that.
