I know you're having twins, but do you really need 2 of everything in terms of furniture? My pregnancy started out as a twin pregnancy (lost one at 7 weeks), but I had only intended on two cribs, but that was it in terms of furniture. Is your intention to have them in two different rooms, is that why you need two sets of furniture?

I got my set from behrs and was extremelly happy with them (they're pretty annoying when you walk in and they're all over you, but they get commision, so I guess they have to be...we found one guy who was really layed back, and left us alone, and made sure to go in and order on a day he was there so he got the sale). Anyway, the quality is great. I am going to get this babys set from there as well


ETA: You can also get a cheaper changing table for downstairs (this is what we are going). We used the dresser as the changing table in my sons room. But for twins, I would def. suggest getting 2 dressers...one dresser isnt enough for my son...good thing he has a big closet.

We are getting 2 cribs and one dresser. Thats it. No changing table - honestly I don't see a need for one, let alone two. We are just getting the changing pad that goes on top of the dresser. I am not going to run upstairs everytime a baby needs a change. We are going to have a pack-n-play with the changing table downstairs, but honestly I see the babies being changed on the couch or the ottoman most often!!

We are planning on having them share a room until they are at least 5, so we'll worry about another dresser down the road. I know your parents want to spoil the grandkids - these are the first in my family too! - but there really is no need for two of everything.

ETA: something else you might want to look into - we are getting the cribs that have the drawers underneath for extra storage.

In the beginning we plan on keeping them in in the same room but eventually they will have their own rooms...down the road these pieces will be used for their big boy or girl rooms and each will need dressers...as a rule of thumb from twin moms I've been told to get 2 changing tables one for upstairs and one for downstairs.....also understand these are first grandkids for family so they will be spoiled lol...soo sorry 4 ur loss ...

This is what we're doing. And also the dresser/changing pad thing - the dressers are made to hold the changing pads - the one we are getting is baby furniture - not an adult dresser we are just sticking a pad on top of. I am able to fit all my clothes in a 7 drawer dresser, so with a large dresser, the drawers under the crib, and the big closet we have, I don't see an issue with space for clothing. Besides the fact we don't have room or money to buy two of everything. I've heard over and over again that a changing table is a waste of money.

Look, whatever you want to do - its your perrogative. If you have the space and your parents have the $$, then get what you want. You said you felt bad having your parents buy two of everything, so some of us were trying to give you some other options.
