ok-- this is the thing my friend has and wants to give me..

This looks more like a booster, and not a high chair substitute right?? I think I am going to stick with my original plan and keep the FP Space Saver-- this may be good for bringing to my parents house or in-laws though, but not for regular use at home.

Anyone have this?

My sister lives in a small apartment and uses this. She had registered for and received a highchair at her shower, but returned it due to the lack of space in her apartment.

randi, that actually looks great! high chairs take up SO much space - in hindsight i wish i had gotten one like that. personally, i would just go with it.

well this is the one I am registered for-- it's more high chair like, and more substantial looking, in my opinion...

I am trying to determine the difference b/t the two.

I have a highchair and a booster seat like you posted in the first pic. We take the booster seat when we go out to restaurants sometimes. Other times, like yesterday when DD was not interested in eating, I put her in the booster seat on the floor and sat down in front of her to feed her. Sometimes she pitches a fit going into the highchair so it's just easier.

In my case, they're both necessary!

honestly, i think both would be absolutely fine. functionally, i really don't see a difference between them. you will be able to feed your baby safely in both. if you have the chance to get the first one for free, i would just take it for now.

you won't need a high chair for several months. worst thing that happens is that you find the first one isn't good enough for some reason - so you buy the other one. jmo Chat Icon

I think I will keep the FP one on the registry-- it's not expensive, so I am sure someone will end up buying it for us. If not-- well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I say keep the fisher price one on register.. its wonderful to have. Plus i would take the one your friend is offering and use as a portable high chair to take with you places like peoples houses.

I was thinking of getting that FP one too - I like the idea of one less extra thing in my house !! that one just goes on a regular chair, right?
