Chat Icon Such a sad world.

I don't have children, but to be honest, I don't know WHAT I'd do. I guess it depends how old they were.

We're not telling our kids. They're way too young and I hyperventilate when we have the "will a stranger take me?" conversation.
I want my kids to have as carefree of a childhood as possible. If they were 7 or 8, I may be able to have the conversation.

We've had a pseudo plan in place since 9/12 when at 8mos pregnant, I thought I should be going back to work in the city. Main issue of course will be that since I don't listen to DH much I'll have to call his cell for better instructions. Chat Icon

I didn't see the commercial, but I think having a family plan in case something happens is important. People they can go to in emergencies, where phone numbers are kept, who to call for help, a flashlight, etc.

There's nothing we can really do to prevent terror attacks, but we can be as prepared as possible so that you and your loved ones know what to do in case they happen.

We have a plan, we have a verbal, written and a things left code, MRE's, solar radio & charger and numerous other things but its the nature of Dh's business that we have all this done and their is no way it can be hidden from Jack.

Our Government has a plan just support and pray for our leaders to make the proper choices. God has a plan for us all trying to figure it out is pointless.

I remember when I was a kid the worse plan my parents had was for a fire... you went down the street and met at a certain tree and waited for the police or the rest of the family and my favorite plan was if a bomb scare was called into our grade school (does anyone else remember these) we had to walk single file over to the church and sit quielty .... never really understood the hang out in the building full of stained glass which was pretty close to the school... guess it was because it was a Church....

Re: Terrorist plan?

YES i believe in having some sort of plan...
For kids of many ages...

WHen 9/11 happen, my father was close to where the planes hit.
We were all freaking out about if he was ok or not.

So my dad has set it up that if anything like that should happen that we are all to some how get back to my dads house...

There he has food and water packed away if need be.

I believe in telling your kids if soemthing should happen ...go here, do this, etc etc
