MIL spinofff....
I moved OOS while pregnant...so once baby came I was hit with company for 7 weeks straight.
I nursed in my living room, set up in my chair, with boppy, remote....feet up on ottoman.
First round of company,I would excuse myself into my bedroom to nurse...it was a PITA. I had a c-section, wanted my chair and to be comfortable.
Next round of company, I learned to ask them to leave the room. If they are there to "help" this should be no problem.
Maybe set up a TV in a different room for them...but you being comfortable while you are in this cluster feeding time of your life is vital to nursing.
Many times, my company would go sit in the dining room, right off from living room....or if they were really into a show on tv, DH would turn the chair around, so I could not be seen, but still see TV.
Its hard to excuse yourself all day long into another room.

Re: MIL spinofff....
BF in front of any family is the least of my problems. My MIL is from another country, and is old school in her care for a child. It worked for her that is great. My mom is very thickheaded with her care for a child. I have had numerous conversations with my mom on what she does with my niece and nephew ie: salt and pepper on their food. I have made it perfectly clear to both mom and MIL, it is my way or the highway. I understand you both had kids, great, groovy. BUT you will NOT do anything I do NOT want done with my children. I have ZERO issues telling someone "Dont do that" I pooped this kid out, I make the decision I feel are best for him. That is the job of his father and I. Not the grandparents.
