Re: Gonal_f and IuI
I did Gonal-F w/ IUI in April. When I went the first time to be monitored, I only produced 1 follicle and I was really discourage that this IUI wasn't going to work. I continue for a few more days and the day I went in for the IUI, I produced a second follicle and got pregnant.
With any fertility drug, you do run the chances of multiples, especially with the injections. To boot, twins runs in my family, so I did have some concern. I'm almost 6 months pregnant with 1 baby.

Re: Gonal_f and IuI
i did iui with gonal f twice. The multiple rate was an issue since i am opposed to selective reduction. so my doc new I didn't want to producemore than 6 follicles. over 6 folliles the risk dramatic increases

Re: Gonal_f and IuI
Hi Stephanie, I just did an IUI Friday after Gonal-F and Ovidrel. The shots themselves were very easy. I only produced one mature follicle though. He wanted to take it slow the first month. On the upp side NO side effects (yeah!!) and we know now I can safely handle a higher dose if need be. Best of luck to you!! --Shawnna
