I have a good friend who is in a similar situation. It's really hard on her. Especially because her DH has no insight into his crazy family, his mother especially. Her son is almost 2 now and it's been really rough.

mzsocial...thanks for replying...thats the thing...my DF KNOWS how they are towards me and has done EVERYTHING in his power to change it....they just won't...what gets to me escpecially now is that my fiance is one of the best men i have ever met in life second to my father LOL and would do ANYTHING for anyone...its basically forcing a wedge and making everything so complicated!...we are engaged...have been since valentines day but always had agreed we watned to get married on an exotic beach somewhere or italy....my parents gave us the option..a house..or a wedding....needless to say we chose house but how do you even plan a little wedding celebraton for when we get back if they dont even speak to me..i feel like i don't even want to invite them..we never even got a congratulations card on engagement.....sorry for the long long vent.....just really fed up of trying to please so many people who just can't be pleased......its at the point where Rob(fiance) just doesn't even want to talk to them.....im a lucky girl....he loves me more then anything in the world!...should i keep trying to be nice...or just leave it in their court?!?!?!
