we looked at a pit mix at the shelter yesterday and truly considered her, but she didn't like our dog as much as she liked us humans, so she wasn't a good fit.

i wish i could take them all home

wow--that video got me quite teary eyed--those faces!

it makes me so mad because my ILs are the kind of owners that cause people to fear large breeds such as pitbulls, rottweillers and such. they have continued to have rotties & pits that they train to be agressive....have gotten out of the yard and nearly attacked small children and he finds it "hilarious" that he's trained his dogs to bark and go after African Americans. (he's a racist douchebag).

i am fearful as hell when we ever go to his house cause they currently have a pitbull that i feel like could snap or something. scares the crap out of me. but i know its because that is how THEY are raising it.

Everytime I see the pits being rescued on animal precienct (the show on animal planet) my heart breaks. The best part is, these dogs have been fought and abused and when the rescuers come they are not usually aggressive towards them.

Its the stupid people, not the animal. I wish the laws were harsher for those who are fighting pits, than maybe we can have a real deterrant to these people breeding so many pits that wound up getting put down.
