Days of Yesteryear
DO you miss your past..?
I am not saying, you don't love where you are now, but i often look at pics of me in my mid 20's and even earlier and i really miss it.
I had a BLAST and often find myself wanting to relive it

Re: Days of Yesteryear
Totally.....Its not that I loved those days more...its changed and just different now...BUT I had a great time in high school and then again in my early twenties, and I miss it a LOT.
I wonder when we stop having so much fun? Maybe it was bescause we had less responsibility then? But I wish I could relive those days too or make these days seem like that ....

Re: Days of Yesteryear
I sometimes miss my crazy college years and my small circle of friends I often hung out with the last couple years before having a baby and getting married. I DON't miss HS one bit....bleh!

good question and yes a part of it was not having the the responsibility that i have now.
But aside from that...i just think about the silly, silly fun i used to have. It was crazy fun

You're not alone...I think about some of the good times I've had in the past and wonder why it all had to end.

I miss college like you wouldn't believe. Partying, hooking up (bad girl) . Now I am going to have my second child its scary and I am still not mature. If I had the chance I would go out for a drink. ALthough it would not be like it was when I had MANY drinks.
I miss the Hamptons even more going to the Bordy Barn on Sundays

Re: Days of Yesteryear
I miss some times in HS- but for the most part I was very insecure- I have a lot more confidence now and, in general, a lot more happy...

YES I miss college more than anything! And the year or so after....anything was possible and the choices I made mapped my whole future negatively.

Re: Days of Yesteryear
I'm probably in the minority here, but I really don't miss my 20's all that much. I had a great time back then but I feel much more confident and secure in my life now. I wish I had my body and skin of 21 thats for sure. I enjoy the quality time I spend at home with DH and the time that I spend with my friends is better now. However, I would like to be able to sleep to noon like I did back then.

Re: Days of Yesteryear
I do miss it sometimes - college years, NOT HS!! But I can remember in my senior year not being able to wait to be out - I think now - How could I have wished for that?!! But, that was some of the most fun times in my life. I love being with DH now and being married, but I do sometimes wish I could just have fun without all the responsibility again.

Re: Days of Yesteryear
I don't miss high school /college years at all.. . they were a tumulteuous time for me
But I really do miss some aspects of my mid-late 20s... I lived life to the FULLEST and loved the person I was back then. I really did have a BLAST! I had a job I loved, I always had somewhere to go, I took amazing vacations, had exciting things going on.. it was sooo great...
I love my husband and our life now, wouldn't trade it for those days. BUT now I am just OVERLY responsible ~ think too much, stress too much, worry too much... I really do need to adopt SOME of those traits and be a little more like the 'old' me
