Amnio results STILL not in..

I am getting so cranky and irritated. They said 10-14 days and today is day 14 and as of this morning they still did not have them in. The nurse promised she would call as SOON as they came in but I am so so so anxious. Thing is... I wasnt even worried about them until I didnt get a call on Friday.

I have my level II on Wednesday and am letting the paranoia kick in thinking that something is wrong and they are stalling until then to tell me.

I don;t mean to complain...I just wanted to know how long your results took and if this is normal?

I didnt have the FISH test so no results from that either.

I didn't have an amnio with my first pregnancy so I have no advice. Just . I hope they call soon.

I'm so sorry! I got mine in about 10 calendar days. That's crazy that you've been waiting that long. When was the last time you called them?

I'm 99.9% sure they would call you right away if something was wrong but the waiting is torture!

Oh I hate waiting for test results. Try not to worry too much, it just sounds like there was a lab delay and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the results. I hope you hear something by tonight or tomorrow the latest

Are you only counting business days? If so, that is a long time. I'm sure they'll be in tomorrow. I'd call again tomorrow.

if it makes you feel better, perfect results take no longer than unusual results... it's obviously the lab dragging its feet, nothing more...

I know it's stressful. I waited a very long time for the ultrascreen results...

Where did you have the amnio done? I had mine done at Madonna in Babylon. I had the FISH resutl in 3 days and the full result in 10 calendar days. I would call again tonight and then tomorrow.

I had mine done at my drs office. Ive been trying to call for the last hour and the phones are busy

Thing is, if they dont have them , there is nothing they can do so I feel like I am just being annoying.

They can always call the lab directly to get results for you. Ask them to do that!

I would not worry too much.

This what they told me on all tests. If it takes longer....it's usually a "good" sign. If there was a problem they usually see it right away and talk to the OB.

No news is good news and I agree w/ PP, usually when something isnt right, you get a call sooner rather than later

No I had the amnio 2 weeks ago today so I am counting calendar days
