so, I was in AC this weekend...

And I am now POOPED and still haven't recovered despite getting into bed at like 7 last night.

It was a family trip, so I had to go. But with the long drive, early dinner reservation, sharing rooms-- there was not enough time for me to rest/sleep even though I went back to the room at 11 30, everyone else who followed woke me up :(

Also, every casino REEKs of smoke-- even if you are not standing near any smokers. One of the people I was with is actually an OBGYN nurse practioner and she said that for the few hours I was there-- it was not going to do any damage. But, I still felt uncomfortable.

I feel like I am now getting sick after pushing myself this weekend. I feel run down and my throat hurts.

And I didn't even win any money-- DESPITE getting sh!t on by a bird on the boardwalk within the first 45 mins of being there.

I often feel that way after pushing myself too hard. And I feel like my DH thinks I am a big baby for complaining about being tired.

Definitely get to bed early tonight and be sure to drink some OJ! Hope you're feeling better soon!

aww feel better I went to AC last month, I thought the casinos were all smoke free, didn't realize they only had smoke free "sections" which are useless bc it goes everywhere. I didn't even really get to gamble bc it was a sat night, and it was like sitting in a cloud of smoke :o(

Go home today and just go straight to the couch and put your feet up and relax. - Don't clean anything, don't cook anything, don't do anything ........

I was in Ac as well this weekend (from Friday thru Sunday).

We stayed at the Water Club which is part of the Borgata Hotel....the casino doesn't smell of smoke unless you are in the smoking section...they pump lots of oxygen so you don't smell the smoke...I found the Borgata casino to have the cleanest air.....also, September is the last month you can smoke in any casinos in AC as October brings smoke-free laws in each casino (no more smoking sections - you can only smoke outside)....

I also did a lot walking (visited 4 other casinos on the boardwalk) and now my feet are killing me.....

Go home tonight, put your feet up and rest!! You will be fine!!

that's so funny that other pregos were there this weekend.

We stayed at the Showboat in the Orleans tower-- the rooms have just been redone and were quite nice. The casino was eh though.

We ate at Carmines and did some gambling at the Trop too.

DH's last cousin turned 21 and their grandfather always takes the grandkids gambling for their birthday. So, it was all the cousins to celebrate-- and DH's 87 year old grandpa still going strong!

The only other time I was in AC, was during my 2ww and I didn't know I was prego yet-- we went down there on whim since we were in South Jersey already.

I am not into AC at all-- but, you can bet if I go there again, I will be staying at the Borgata!
