yay! It sprinkled yesterday!!!
And I'm 35 weeks today 
Man oh man, I soooo don't have the endurance for a shower anymore!
TMI altert: I ate something very salty in the last couple days and my feet look like they belong to a pacoderm.... I drank something like 6-7 liters yesterday, and most of that was retained in my swollen body  I'm still drinking a lot, and only now is stuff coming out at the same rate as it enters!
none the less, it was a wonderful shower!!! 17 people came. It was at mom's house and had a mammoth amount of food and snacks. (unfortunately, the combo of preggo food restrictions, GD, AND the water retension meant I could eat almost nothing. I DID break a preggo rule and ate some roast beef.... mmmmmm :-P)
Everyone was so supportive and generous! Besides the registry gifts and clothing / layette, I was given a SECOND swing (papasan) and as a bonus hand-me-down, a graco playard which was literally only used once (becuase my SIL already has one).
So, today is the big day to assemble, organize, throw out trash, and order the remaining stuff we need. (all while keeping my elephant feet elevated  and drinking liters and liters of water)
it was a wonderful day!

Yay! Now is the fun part!
And I know what you mean, I had my shower at 37.5 weeks! DS was born 9 days later!

 Wow, I can't imagine how you managed! I couldn't pick-up any gifts from the floor and I was 2 weeks earlier than you!

Glad you had a wonderful shower!!
Someone told me to put lemon slices in the water...the lemon helps draw the water out of the skin...my feet have been puffy the last few days too and I don't know why, I haven't eaten anything overly salty, I don't even salt my food
