Spinoff to PCOS and GD

Of those of you who have PCOS and are IR, how many of you are still on Metformin?

My RE wanted me to stay on it throughout the pregnancy to reduce the risk of my getting GD. I'm interested in knowing if anyone still on the Metformin failed either glucose test.

well my dr decided that since there was a possibilty that I might have GD he snt me for a GTT at 9 weeks and turns out he was right I did have it but he started me on insulin right away and kept me on metformin for the first 12 weeks (so I was on both for a few weeks) he wanted me on on metformin b/c it is supposed to reduce the risk of M/C but that I shouldn't take it after that mark but I am not sure if being on metformin would have any control over having GD or not I dont think that there is enough coverage in metformin to control it well enough...
