dear DH
you don't know it yet, but i am planning on blaming all of my "emissions" on you from now on, so get used to it.
no matter how proud you are of your azz and it's accomplishments, i am not about to fess up to anything of the sort. i am a lady  and everyone knows that ladies don't DO that. so yes, i will tell you that you are crazy, or blame the cat. too bad.

seriously, my DH is so proud of his gas, and even though he must know that i am like a whoppie cushion these days, he hasn't said a word (i think i hide it well but who knows  )
i know he'd rather i was honest so he could cheer me on  but i am just not that "open" about bodily functions

Sorry LB but int he land of Ed and Leslie, I can't get off so easy. There is NOTHING as G-d awful as the emissions of a post-operative gastric bypass patient who is PG. I couldn't get away with blaming DH on anything. He says his are, and I quote "dainty" as compared to mine and I would have to agree.
Now also remember, this also comes from a man who tells his unborn daughter that "farts are funny." AND THEY ARE DAMMIT!!!!

We actually had friends over on Sat. and were playing rockband. DH passed some lovely smelling gas but didn't say anything. Later on that night he said something to his friend and his friend said "I thought it was Liz b/c shes pg and stuff!" I told my DH if he does that again Ill kill him.

I'm the same way. I'm not very open about it. He was excited when I read to him I should be experiencing increased gas in the coming weeks. His favorite game is "pull my finger" and will go as far as to pull his own finger since I refuse to play that game. I swear that's the first thing he's going to teach this kid!

and FTR i can't even say the "F" word out loud DH and i have a secret code word for it b/c it embarasses me.
i can talk about sex till the cows come home but if someone says the F word, i blush. no joke.

I did not smell anything yesterday. So if you did... it's very discreet! Oh wait, I have bad allergies. I can't smell anything.

Before DH and I got married, I would be discreet until the day I had 1 too many margaritas and I told him that I had to fart and I didn't care, he was in my house and I'll do what I please. He was grossed out and I just laughed. Since we've been married, I don't care, I'm going to be myself and comfortable and if I got to fart, then I'll fart. He continues his pitiful threats of divorce because I fart. I came from a house where we would fart and burp and it was just normal (well that's just me and my dad, mom would get grossed out and roll her eyes). DH's house it was totally taboo. If DH or his brother farted, my MIL would absolutely freak out and start yelling.
Since being pregnant, I do fart more and there is nothing that DH can do about it. We don't have a dog or cat to blame. Sometimes I blame the baby, but other than that I take full responsibilty for my emissions.
