If you had a free companion ticket..

to use by next July... Would you try to use before you had the baby, or wait until after? I am due end of Jan.

I get up to 4 free companion tickets with my CC on any airline and DH gets one a year from his Delta CC with much fewer restrictions-- if we don't use it, it goes to waste.

We just got back from a week in Banff and Lake Louise, and we have a babymoon booked for October (driving distance).

We love to travel-- and would hate to lose the ticket.

If you don't mind traveling with an infant you can save them.

I don't care about mine-- because I get too many to use anyway... It's more about using the Delta one-- since we have more flexibility with that.

I am not really into the idea of traveling with a baby. Air travel sucks enough these days with just yourself.

Re: If you had a free companion ticket..

i say travel now.. take a babymoon

I went out about 4months preggo and had a great time!

PS: don't waste them.. donate them if you can.. most folks who offer those things offer a way to donate too.. if not, its a shame to lose them.

I wouldn't want to travel with a baby that young though and you have to book early, etc.. too much drama.. go before the baby is my vote.

Re: If you had a free companion ticket..

I'd say to go before. We just got back from our babymoon on 8/3 and our return trip (on Delta!) was a nightmare. If we had an infant with us I would have been a basket case. That said I'm 25 weeks now and don't think I'd want to fly much further along than I am now. I guess it all depends on how you carry, and how you body holds up but my back is starting to become an issue.

I'd definitely be living it up now, pre-baby!
