I know that MANY of you do not believe in this...........
So, therefore, I am not asking if you believe or not, I am just curious to know if you already know what you are having, what was the baby's heartrate??
I am not saying this is factual or not - JUST WONDERING

it wasn't true for me in the beginning - through 12 weeks, the baby's HB was always well over 150. at my level II however it was 131 - and it turned out to be a boy. so who knows?

I don't know what I'm having yet. I have a feeling its a boy. The heartbeat today was 158 and then it moved and it went to 160.

When I was having my BIG sono, right before they told us DS was a boy, his heart rate was 170, so I totally thought he was a girl...so not true for us

Before we found out...it was always a solid 160bpm...lately it's been 150... The wivestale was wrong...

so far it has been right for me 3 out of 3 my son was always 140 my dd was always around 156 and this pg it has been 156 and just found out yesturday its a  so again it holds true

see ive heard of girls being both above and below 140 but i havent heard of anyone having a boy ABOVE 160
just curious - about 4 people told me today that im having a boy -

Last visit, baby's HB was 167, so I was thinking . I finally had my 1st dream about the baby, and I dreamt he was a boy, and looked just like my brother. 
We're going to find out in about 5-6 weeks, so I'll let you know if I'm 1st you've heard of with a HR over 160 but

second time it was about 164

I am having a girl. At first it was in the 160s. Yesterday it was 142 and the doc said it was perfect. I am just about 37 weeks.

The theory has be true for me so far. I'm having a girl and it was 177 at 8 weeks, in the 160s through 12 weeks, 150s for 16 and 20 weeks.

At 8 weeks it was 161...at 16 weeks it was 143 and at my level II it was 134....it is a so not true for me....

Of course...I know this isn't your personal theory. Didn't meant to imply I thought that - I was more commenting on the fact that you said you hadn't heard of anyone having a boy ABOVE 160 and I am contrary to that as I am having a boy with a HB of 167.
Was just adding my stats as I thought I was having a girl based on the same theory and was totally wrong...

But my sono said girl (or at least 80% sure its a girl)
HB is in the mid 150's
I have ANOTHER sono (35w) tomorrow. Still trying to get a definative answer, so we shall see
