anyone get prego on bcp?????
think i did. tested yesterday morning and afternoon. freaking out a bit this was not planned. made an appt with doctor on wed to make sure.
sorry just so surprised as i have been on bcp for over 11 years.

I have a friend that got pregnant twice while on BCP.
Were you taking anyother medications this month? Some medications and/or antibotics can mess with the BCPs and make them less effective.

i did. was on antibiotics at the end of one pack, and next pack I started 2 days late or so, and got pregnant right away. Had been on bcp for 13 years

I have heard that if you take certain meds on BCP like antibiotics it becomes less effective in fact the daughter of my friend found out she was pg with antibiotics

My friend got preggo on bcp...she was on antibiotics at the time...they weaken the effectiveness of the pill.

My girlfriend actually didn't know she was pregnant until she was 5 months along and still took the pill all that time. Her son is now 12! However, if you suspect you are pregnant, I would stop taking the BCP asap and call your doctor for an appointment to confirm pregnancy.

I took the pill for probably about 2 weeks after I got pregnant..I stopped as soon as I found out. My baby is totally fine. But, you are not supposed to take while pregnant, if you think you are pregnant you should stop right away.

Her Dr. had just changed which pill she was taking and she got pregnant

I have a beautiful 7 year old DD to prove that taking BCP religiously (and without anitbiotics or other contraindicated meds) is no guarantee!

A friend of mine did! She took antiobiotics and didn't know that it weakend the BC! She has a 2 year old son now! Good luck you must feel overwhelmed but I'm happy for you! lol
