Is going for walks good
Dh is to going for walk all of a sudden. he went 2 times today and i went on the second one. Is something good to be doing. Im not speed walking but he does do at least a mile.

absolutely it is good to keep the heart pumping now that it will be producing much more blood plus if you sugars are a little high burning off some cals can reduce them...have fun

Yes it's great for you actually. My dr. also told me it could help move things along with my gastrointestinal "bathroom" issues. 
I've been doing it every night after dinner and it def doesn't hurt.
