TUMS - is there a limit
to how many I can take in a day? The heartburn is killing me today!

I believe you just need to follow the general limits on the bottle.
I've been having the same issues and Tums is the only thing that has helped.

Ok... I'm reading off the bottle and it says no more than 7 within 24 hours.
My brother just dropped lunch off to me and he is an OB so I asked him and he said you can realistically take about 12-15/day but anymore than that and you will be constipated.

Heartburn seems to be a very hot topic on here. It is sooooo awful, i know. i am at the point that tums really dont help. i am going to see my dr on thursday and ask if he could prescribe me something to prevent it. if u r taking so many tums i would rec. that u do the same as me and ask for a rx. Feel better

I used to take about 1/2 bottle a night before I was preggo due to severe acid reflux and an ulcer. Thank God my doc put me on Nexium 40mg years ago. Maybe talk to your doc about it.
