Peg Perego Skate???
Anyone have this....I'm debating between this and the bugaboo cameleon and it just seems that I love the skate for being so high and big but I'm worried about it being really heavy to get in and out of the car. Living on LI, I'll be driving a lot even so I don't want something that heavy, but it seems so much better than the bugaboo... Any opinions would be appreciated!!!!
THANKS!

Re: Peg Perego Skate???
I registered for the Skate and was initially planning on the camelon. It is heavy, but very very easy to operate. The sales person told us if we were staying in the City (we live in Manhattan) it wouldn't be the best choice cause you'd be carrying it up and down subway steps. But if we move out of the city, it's a great choice.

Interesting, bc our sales person said getting in and out of a car she would recommend the camelon bc its lighter..UGH sooo confusing

Re: Peg Perego Skate???
I really didn't look at the Skate because I was not happy with the peg perego stroller I had with my son. I did get the chameleon and i think i am really going to like it. my friends who have it all love it and i like that you can use it as a snap and go, a bassinett and the regular stroller.

Re: Peg Perego Skate???
We just went looking for strollers today and I was inbetween the Skate and the chameleon.... I was really surprised with how flimsy the skate was. THe handles, the seat/Bassinett...everythign wobbled too much!
ALso the skate is MUCH heavier. We decided after playing withthe two that we are going with the chameleon. Built stronger, liighter and for us it was more user friendly.
I suggest you go and try out both and see how you feel.......

Re: Peg Perego Skate???
definitely see both strollers in person...
I found that seeing the major purchases in person vastly changed our opinions of the packnplay, stroller, diaper bag, and other items.....
you should not only roll it around, and try to make turns with it, you should also collapse the stroller down and lift it to see how heavy /hard to handle it is......

We looked at both today, and the higher the seat goes with the skate the seat def has movement to it, but I felt that the skates base was built much more secure than the bugaboo..supposedly the skate is fully made in Italy while the bugaboo is designed in Italy but manufactured in China, which I'm a bit put off about, with the whole recall scare this year....I do TOTALLY agree about how much heavier the Skate is and thats what's freaking me out a little....

ITA the skate is heavier and does not seem, as sturdy I ended buying the chameleon and I love it
