pregnant or not pregnant, its unhealthy..its a high amount of radiation in an area that i dont know about any of you, but id rather not have affected..
ive had gynocological cancer,
with that being said...if id have to choose between eating a gyro while pregnant, or taking the computer off my lap (which btw, its unsafe for children doing homework that way as well, and not good for men and their sperm count) then, id rather get a food born illness and not worry so much about the dreaded "listeria" lol
..
i am now going to eat all the deli meat, coffee, and wine i can possibly consume, and take the computer off my lap lol

p.s...
ok im a vegetarian, i wont be eating gyro or deli meat, but i will drink more then 200mg of caffeine a day! see if i care! lol

where are you getting this information from? There has been no scientific evidence that laptops emit high amounts of EMF. There is EMF radiation all around you - you can't go ANYWHERE without being in its path. The reproductive issues that arise in men from laptops are from the heat generated by them, not from radiation.

lol, i think its crazy to assume that because there hasnt been scientific evidence...that you can find..to prove what im saying, that because i feel its unsafe, its as if im saying something ridiculous...when half the people on this board dont drink tap water, (which btw supposedly is very safe in our area..and i still dont drink it..but im sure most of you dont buy bottled water to brush your teeth, i certainly dont...) ...and half the people on this board dont eat soft serve ice cream cause the machines may not be clean...and half the people on this board dont eat tuna, or deli meat..but to say that in 30 years you can tell me what kind of effect using a laptop on or near vital organs is wrong..no one can..theres NOT ENOUGH evidence..
so just like i wouldnt stand in front of a microwave..(which im sure you dont either)..why would i put it on my lap? 
everyones got their stuff..ive suffered enough bein sick in the last few years, why increase my chance on a guess..

But you said you would eat deli meat (if you weren't a vegetarian) and drink a lot of caffeine which have both been PROVEN to have issues. I don't understand your reasoning.
Also, the kind of radiation that comes out of microwaves and laptops are two different frequencies and affect the body totally differently. Laptops have radio waves - there are radio waves everywhere, passing through your body all the time.
If you feel its not safe, then don't do it, but don't post something as fact that isn't.

...next time ill say, it is in my opinion that it is unsafe...
i was pretty sure i didnt need anyones permission before i hit "post reply"...
if you dont agree, thats cool, im assuming you havent been in my situation..all i said was id RATHER take a chance on eating something, and gettind listeriosis, and being able to take antibiotics, then getting "sick sick"
opinions are like hineys, everyones got one :) i was just voicing mine..

Laptops do emit EMR just like other household devices but with these other devices, I do not have them as close to my baby as a laptop.
I will not be doing it anymore. Why take the chance.

Right with ALL that is wrong with this earth, I highly doubt a laptop on my lap is going to make that much of a difference. JMO!
