what would u say to this....

So dh is in a mood and and annoyed because i want my mom to paint the nursery and do a mural on the wall. He knows that my mom loves doing these kind of things. Now mind u he is not saying this because he wants to do this.. he wants a friend whom we have seen maybe 1 time this past year do it because he has started his own painting business. My mom is not in the greatest of health and doesnt have much money so she wont be buying nursery set and so on.. so i would love it if she did this. ANy suggestion.

Does he just want to give his friend the business? Is he worried your mom won't do a good job? Is there any other room that needs paint? I would say "I promise we'll use your friend in the future but this is a special project and it woud mean a lot to me if my mom took part in it" or something to that effect.

I think the room will mean soo much more being that it is painted and has a mural done by your mom.

instead of some guy that owns a painting business.


nicer story to tell the child too. "Grandma painted this room for you and did the mural."

he knows my mom is a perfectionist so he should be worried about that. Im thinking i will see if he wants his friend to do the play room downstairs in basement. I just dont see y he wants to save money if we can.

I would want your mom to do it.. what a great idea.. Your mom would be doing it with love for her grandchild.. how great is that.. What a special nursery that would be!!!

I think it would be wonderful to have your Mom paint the nursery. Tell DH how much it means to you that your mother does this... especially since her health isn't the best. Don't take "No" for an answer!
