BH Contraction
I had the longest and strongest BH contraction today when I was at work, on my way out the door. It lasted about 20 minutes and I actually had to use my lamaze breathing b/c it was so uncomfortable. I drank plenty of water and just focused on my breathing until it went away. It made me a little nervous about the REAL THING!

Re: BH Contraction
oh man, you're only 3 weeks ahead of me!
When did you start having BHs? I guess I should mentally prepare myself for this so I don't freak out when it first happens....

I started getting them here and there, for about 3 minutes at a time, about 2 weeks ago. But, I have had 3 in the last 2 days. I spoke to the dr. about it and he said it is normal unless they are 5 minutes apart. He said I might even get more than one per day!

Re: BH Contraction
huh, so basically I could start them any day now..... that's good to know....
I just keep telling myself 'I only have to survive this one last business trip' (tomorrow to bethesda MD for 2 days)... then I can finally be pregnant or something

I totally understand the feeling. I have to be in court tomorrow morning at 9:30am in Manhattan (For work). I am stressing about having to go, take the subway, and walk a few blocks to the courthouse. I've been to court for this case like 100 times, but never 34 weeks pregnant!!! My plan, just drink a ton of water and walk slowly.

Re: BH Contraction
yeah, it's really the temperature and humidity outside that worries me. Do be careful with your commute... bring cold water......
I also don't like public transportation transfers... I decided to drive to MD so I don't have to take the LIRR to penn, transfer to grand central, and then take amtrak, and then transfer to the subway again, and then find a taxi
none of that.... mmmm, car.... air conditioning... cupholder! DH is worried about me driving that far at 30 weeks, but frankly it sounds better than the above scenario

I would prefer to drive too. Public transportation can be stressful and take a lot of energy so that you can pay attention. Drive and take your time!! Stop frequently and make sure you keep hydrated.
