Re: Warning - TMI Question
Maybe its just the heat. I haven't left my house since Sunday because its like Africa here. If you are nervous call. Thats why they make the big bucks. Feel better.

Re: Warning - TMI Question
I wouldn't worry too much unless it continues for 3 days.

Re: Warning - TMI Question
I have an upset stomach almost every morning. Pregnancy has really screwed up my digestive system. Feel better.

Re: Warning - TMI Question
like mrsS i have a bathroom summit every morning.. immediately afterwards everyone in the house is strongly encouraged to use one of the other two bathrooms for at least 30 minutes..
it's a part of pregnancy..
def increase your water intake.. maybe some cranberry juice to go with.. if your doc has prescribed some iron pills be aware that that will just make it worse.. in fact, the prenatal vitamins can do it to you too (the constipation, not the diarrahea)
but it's pretty normal.. wait till the gas comes..geesh.. i let one loose one day in the shower so bad that I had to get out the shower!!

Re: Warning - TMI Question
no fever right? I would call the dr. if I had an elevated temp, but otherwise, I'd probably ride it out for a day before calling.
I've found that constipation is usually followed by diahrea.... almost like it's the latter that rids the body of the former
Definitely keep drinking as much water as you can stand, and eat a lot of fruit / veggies... that will minimize digestive issues....
feel better!

I've found that too! Whats the deal with that?
I've been trying to eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Also eating Raisin Bran for breakfast has been helping too.

Re: Warning - TMI Question
I found that the best solution was just time. It was worst for me between 15-22 weeks... then it suddenly improved. now I only have minor /occassional issues. it's not nearly as bad as it was then....
so maybe you'll be in a similar situation and this problem will disappear as mysteriously as it appeared?
oh, and I should also mention my secret weapon:
stewed prunes followed by a liter of water

Re: Warning - TMI Question
I had a really sensitive tummy for all of my first trimester and the first half of of second trimester. Diarrhea was a huge part of it. I am sure you know there is nothing you can take for it. For me, the cramping and weakness which came with losing my electrolytes were the worse parts.
I did go for a GI consultation, and I was fine. Some people just react differently to pregnancy. I hope this is a one-time event for you! Just keep those fluids up!!!
